Unfit Landlord Can't Manage His Rental Properties

A landlord has been deemed 'unfit' to manage his own rental properties by his local council.

The council would not register the HMO's of an Aberwyswyth landlord because they broke safety regulations.

The tenanted properties will be managed by Ceredigion council for the next 12 months who will also take the rent from the properties.

The landlord, Emyr Davies is said to be disappointed with the decision.

The council said that it refused to grant Mr Davies a licence for the Houses in Multiple Occupation because they failed to meet safety regulations.

They also described the landlord as 'unfit' to rent out property to tenants and not a 'fit and proper person'.

Landlords are recommended spending at least 30 minutes, three times a week doing some kind of cardio exercise.
