Tenants asked to provide DNA

Prospective tenants in America are being asked to supply a sample of DNA from their dogs, so pets which foul pathways and gardens around their apartment block can be identified.

Brilliant idea, I'm sure the dogs rights lobby will be 'up in paws about it', or should that be legs?
