I am looking to remortgage an existing BTL flat. Problem is, you have to be over 55 to live in it. Anyone know of any lenders that would do it? I have tried loads of them to no avail?
Unfortunately in the current buy-to-let mortgage market there aren’t any lenders who will consider lending on properties with restrictive covenants such as these. This is because it could be difficult for the lender to evict the tenant should they need to repossess the property.
Sorry to be unable to help in this case, but if you have any other buy-to-let enquiries, please visit www.propertyhawkmortgages.co.uk to use our free buy-to-let mortgage finder or phone 029 2069 5446 to speak to one of our buy-to-let mortgage experts.
