Government must be on a 'trip' to come up with Trip Advisor idea

If any landlord wanted proof that Labour politicians are actually a load of doped up ex hippies in suits then here's it is.

There latest plan is to have Tripadvisor website for tenants to feedback on their landlord experiences.

1. If it's such a brilliant idea - why hasn't anybody done it before? - simple because it would cost loads of cash when the country is broke and nobody would use it apart from aggrieved tenants who wanted to insult their landlord.

2. Trip Advisor which I think is great relies on hundreds of guests going to one hotel and then changing every week resulting in tens of thousands of user experiences in any given year. The aggregate of this has some value. How can that be replicated for one tenant who stays for 1 year and a landlord who probably has a single buy-to-let property? The chances that a tenant has left comment about a property in your area that is to let would be practically ZERO.

3. As the NLA have rightly identified monitoring the site for cases of libel and slander would mean that the site is unworkable.

Hey John (Healey) man just roll another fat one, sharply inhale and lets imagine what a crazy, happening mixed up world we could live in! Lets draft some more legislation dude.....

NO hippies have been harmed in the making of this post....because we rather like the proper ones.....

Be nice if the Govt gave us Landlords a site so we can decide whether to take bad tenants. If they get a bad landlord, they just move, if we get a bad tenant, well as u know, it's not as easy as saying 'Please leave'.
