NLA warns on forms

Our friends at the National Landlords Association have highlighted a new scam involving their branded forms whereby tenants are being asked (at the NLA’s request) to send large sums of money in order to secure rental property in the UK.

The scam involves using fake NLA Tenant Check stationary as a method of obtaining sensitive information.

The scam use online advertisement sites such as Gumtree to defraud overseas tenants to send hundreds of pounds in rent and deposit money to set up bogus tenancies.
