The Office for National Statistics (ONS) House Price Index (HPI) for January 2016 has been released.
England's growth is still predominatly driven by the South East, at 11.7%, London 10.8% and the East at 9.8%.
Excluding London and the South East, the rest of England saw annual growth of 5.1%.
The UK average mix-adjusted house price is now £292,000.
