Zara Phillips, 2006 World Eventing Champion and BBC Sports Personality of the Year, is building her first home abroad in Portugal.

She has chosen CampoReal a site used in centuries past by Portuguese Kings to exercise their horses and is located just thirty minutes north of the capital Lisbon .

With the renovation of her Cheltenham property now well underway, the villa in Portugal will be Zara’s first new build property. She is currently working with the architect on site to create a villa that will take full advantage of its unique position in the resort.

He villa is to be built on the edge of the vine fields and she and her England rugby playing partner Mike Tindall when they are not relaxing; aim to improve their golfing handicap on the complexes golf course.
