Landlords with embarrassing damp problems

The decent into Winter often throws up new challenges for a landlord.

A frequent issue to raise it's head is damp. Modern building and refurbished building mean that it's not so much a case of rising damp but more frequently problems caused by condensation.

Damp patches are not only unsightly but can result in mould and be injurous to the health of the tenant.

Damp is becoming an increasing problem in buildings because of the drive towards the promised land of carbon neutrality.

The flipside to all the additional insulation in order to reduce the heat loss is a basic lack of ventilation. They are the opposite side of the same coin. Tenants are notorious for not opening windows.

The result is huge amounts of water vapour with no where to go other than to condense on the cool spots within a property.
