Rents rebound to £577

Latest rent figures from the UK's only real time tracker of private sector rents the Rent Index shows that rents from tenancies using an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) rebounded just under 1% over the last 3 months.

The average monthly rent in the UK now stands at £577. This follows a steep fall off in rents from November last year where the average rent fell from just over £590 to a low of £570.

The average rent is calculated from over 5,000 live tenancies created over a three month period.
