PRS makes up 19% of housing stock

According to Savills data, the total value of UK housing stock is now 5.205 trillion pounds.

2013 saw a 186 billion pound increase, but that still leaves it  344 billion pounds lower than the 2007 high. The Private Rented Sector now accounts for 19 percent of the UK's total housing stock.

2012 property forecast

The 2012 property forecast in the Financial Times predicts an increase in buy-to-let mortgage finance with the continued trend of more banks and building societies looking to increase lending to the sector in direct relation to increasing rental demand.

Savills predicts the trend towards renting will lead to 20 per cent of households in England will be renting by 2015/16 – up from 15.6 per cent of households in 2009/10.

Property Apps war between the property portals hots up!

Landlords who have the privilege of owning an I-Phone have probably realised for some time that it is possible to use them to search for and store property details just as the property portals allow you to do using the Internet.
In the latest twist Findaproperty is claiming that their I-phone App has outgunned Rightmove on the popularity stakes. This latest spat comes at a time when Google is widely expected to shake up the whole UK property portal business by launching their own free to use property listing service.

Has anybody had any experience of using these apps. Which really is the best?
