Rents rise faster than prices

According to the latest reports in the Telegraph residential rents have been rising faster than house prices in recent months.

This is obviously good news for landlords. The Rentindex recently showed that residential rents had shown a dramatic fall at the start of the year after staging a recovery in 2009.

However, latest figures show the average rent has now bounced 1.25% over the last month up to £576.
