Rents are definitely rising in Ireland however so are operating costs such as insurance rates and PRTB registration which stands at 90 euro per registration!!
The government is talking about controling the rental market so god knows what they have planned. As you probably know they haven't made the best decisions in the sector, for both tenants and landlords, so far.
While you can still buy very good property you definitely need local knowledge and BTL experience to pick them out.
It wil be an interesting next few months/years till we see what the govt does.
