The long lingering death of the much hated and pointless Housing Information Packs (HIPs) has been confirmed.The Coalition document just released has confirmed that the Tory promise that HIPs will be scrapped is to be followed through. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) will be retained.
This means that a landlord marketing a buy-to-let will still need one. Incidentally has anybody heard about any landlord who has been prosecuted for not having one?

Nope I have not heard of one yet neither has my EPC providers. And in the time it's been running I have not had one person ask to see one yet.
I am so glad I am wasting money on this cr*p scheme.
