Government Minister sets out government view on private rental sector

Any landlords who are interested what the politicians think about the private rented sector should keep an eye on the website theyworkforyou.

This website publishes full transcripts on politicians speeches and answers to written parliamentary questions giving an invaluable insight into what really goes on behind the political closed doors.

One recent entry reveals what the current governments approach is towards the private rental sector. It also shows strong support by Liberal Democrat Lorely Burt's understanding that buy-to-let finance is at the heart of stimulating the continued growth of the buy-to-let let sector.

She correctly identifies that the growth in the private sector from 2.45 million units in 2000 to 3.2 million in 2007 was closely connected to the supply of buy-to-let finance.

Find out more on Lorely Burt's (Lib Dem) analysis of the buy-to-let market and what the governments view of the private rented sector is through the voice of junior minister Iain Wright .
