ONS House Price Index for Jan 16


It puts annual UK house price inflation at 7.9%, with England at 8.6%, -0.3% in Wales, 0.1% in Scotland and 0.8% in Northern Ireland.

England's growth is still predominatly driven by  the South East, at 11.7%, London 10.8% and the East at 9.8%.

Excluding London and the South East, the rest of England saw annual growth of  5.1%.

The UK average mix-adjusted house price is now £292,000.
