LHA maximum rents

Landlords who let to tenants on benefits will be effected by the new benefit cap being brought in from 2011.

Local Housing Allowance payments will be capped for benefit claimants. This will mainly effect landlords letting higher value properties in the South East and London. The maximum rent payments from April 2011 will be:

1 bedroom £250
2 bedroom £290
3 bedroom £340
4 bedroom+ £400
