From time to time I visit certain websites crawling with hoards of property networkers and individual who are dying to invite you to their latest networking session.
The word that always springs to mind is WHY?
WHY would I want to network with other people about property and property investment?
Yes - being a landlord can be a solitary occupation and activity. That goes with the territory.
However, if you want more friends - go and join a club or take up a new hobby.
I can't see the attraction of joining a club for lost souls looking for some 'godhead' figure spouting forth about something they probably no little more than a moderately informed amateur.
Certainly well less than the status of expert they like to anoint themselves with.
If you want to invest in property and make a success out of it you just have to get down to sussing the best finance deals, get a strategy and then start sussing the best deals using your local newspaper, rightmove and the Internet.
There is no' holy grail' - just hard work - that lies between you and what ever buy-to-let dream you may have.
In my view - property networking is all about what the instigators can sell to the poor unsuspecting networker - nothing to do with the needs of the landlords or aspirant property investor.
Landlord insurance - where do professional landlords go?
