Rightmove - beating the opposition hands down

Despite numerous internet start ups trying to dislodge the king of property portals Rightmove - the latest figures on usage indicates that the old stager is still supremely dominant.

Hitwise and independent auditor of internet traffic figures found that Rightmove has a 27% share of the property portal market, this rises to 54% if page impressions is used as the metric.

Trailing in a distant second is FindaProperty with just 6%, Primelocaton 3rd with 5%, Zoopla 3.5% and Globrix 2.32%.

This must all be a little depressing reading for the likes of Google and Sarah Beeny who all have ambitions to take over the property portal world.
