2009 looks as though it is going to be a tough year for landlords. The rise in rental prices that was predicted has, thus far, failed to materialise and at the same time bills are going up. In these times of financial difficulty many landlords can not afford the added expense of an essential kitchen appliance breaking in one of their properties. The cost of replacing a broken appliance is likely to run into the hundreds of pounds, if not the thousands in high-end rentals.

I phoned up Repaircare 4 weeks ago to mend my dishwasher. They have charged me over £100 and I still have a broken dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteThey are unreliable, rude and claim they don't have enough engineers in my area. I don't live in the Outer Hebrides - I live in LONDON.
Do not even think of using this company.
Had a broken pilot light on gas cooker - repair booked in for tuesday - bloke phoned and said could not get here thill thurs - fixed it but had to that top hobs off and did not check for leaks when putting them back - smelt gas that night - phoned gas to come and see where the leak was they confirmed which one of the hobs had been put back faulty - phoned repairDONTcare and had to wait till following monday afternoon for the contractor to return I AM TAKING THEM TO COURT - TOLD THE HSE TO INSPECT THEM - DONT USE THEM FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY....
