If you thought bank charges were a rip off.......

...then you think again.

I sometimes wonder whether I'm trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs, when I read through some of the other postings and readers comments. It seems that most of you are a pretty knowledgeable bunch and I wonder if I'm sometimes stating the obvious when writing on the subject of tax strategies.

However, I'm sure the next bit of info will come as a (pleasant) surprise to a whole bunch of you, if my own clients' reactions to the same bit of information is anything to go by.

It is pretty much common knowledge that unfair bank charges have been in the public domain for some time and again it's pretty much common knowledge that a 'test case' has been in the High Courts for many months awaiting a decision. The results were expected this month, but the latest thinking is that there is a going to be a further delay and that it will be next spring before the outcome is known. So, the banks can breathe easy for a few more weeks. I'll bet they're happy and won't be looking forward to a Happy New Year if the law comes down on the side of the consumer and they'll have to fork out a substantial amount of the billions the country (you) have bailed them out with.

But what is not common knowledge is that although personal 'unfair bank charges' are on hold, this DOES NOT apply to business bank charges or business credit card charges!

This information only came to light when I was discussing some clients problems with a good friend of mine who also happens to run a business that specialises in re-claiming 'unfair bank charges'.

Now that you have this information I would urge you to get in touch with your bank/lender/credit card company and get the ball rolling before the banks/lenders/credit card companies decide to challenge the claims and put everything on hold yet again.

If you would like some more information, once again, I can't take calls but if you want to send an email, I can put you in touch with the specialist company for advice and information.

The email address is helpdesk@taxrefundmoney.co.uk
