Landlords Looking to Improve Their Love Life Should Clean Their Carpets

I read a lot of press releases, articles and supposed research data from the world of property and what strikes me is the endless contradictions.

Those who are desperate to boost the housing market and maintain property prices are endlessly talking of 'buying opportunities'.

I'm referring to estate agents and letting agents here.

One of their main voices is The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA)who endlessly create bits of research or surveys with landlords.
ARLA's surveys are supposedly the largest national survey of landlords and includes the responses of 494 landlords, (not what one would call a massive sample number )

Let's face facts, surveys and data can be manipulated to say white is black and black is green.
Landlords won't be surprised to hear that the most recent survey from ARLA states that landlords are tickety boo, confident of their future rental prospects, looking to buy more property and confident of continued financial success.

You also may not be surprised that the Federation of Carpet Cleaners have announced that owners of dirty carpets tend to have 23.6% less friends and 32.1% less sex than owners who have their carpets cleaned at least once a year.

Statistics are very interesting things but how truthful they are depends on what they are selling.

Anyway I'm off to hire a carpet cleaner.
