Greedy landlords with their noses in their troughs, I hope house prices fall rock bottom and your greed exceeds you. I will be the first one laughing my head off.
P.S Many thanks for buying all those houses on buy to let and a big thank you to the banks for letting them do it . Now i definitely can't get on the hosuing ladder even though me and my girlfriend are both in fulltime employment, well done everybody, pigs we salute you
I think that previous post underlines my point regarding the hatred that Joe Public have for landlords that I had posted about in my previous posts.
As, to the poster - good luck on getting on the housing ladder, maybe you will be able to afford to buy an apartment from a bankrupted landlord at a knock down price.
I can only imagine that would taste very sweet to someone like yourself who obviously doesn't hold landlords in particularly high esteem.
In landlords defence, we are not all 'greedy' or 'feeding from troughs'.
The majority of landlords are normal people who work and have diverted their investment into property instead of traditional pension funds because of the poor performance of the latter. Many landlords were looking to create a provision for retirement as encouraged by the government.
The nature of any economic bubble is that the blame should be layed at the feet of the architects, ie, government for poor regulation and the banks for bad practices.
Humans are naturally opportunistic, especially when encouraged to be so as in a capitalist society.
Landlords who have looked to take advantage or to prosper through another persons suffering could logically be accused of been unfair or unjust.
As the majority of landlords have not actively gone out to profit in this way, I find your venom illogical and mis-placed.
Once again I hope you are able to secure a home for you and your girlfriend and are able to take advantage of ever more reasonable property prices to 'bag a bargain', potentially from a distressed landlord,in your eyes 'sweet justice would be done', I'm sure.
