Green Party pledge London rent controls
The Green Party mayoral candidate for London has pledged an introduction of rent controls for the capital.
(No shock there.)
Sian Berry said she would "break the grip" of big developers and build 200,000 new homes in London,... if elected. ??!
The Green Pary candidate set out her manifesto on London's housing - "building more homes with co-operative and smaller companies... funding experts to help communities defend their estates and helping private tenants with rent controls and a renters' union so they can organise and stand together."
Not that it's going to actually happen...
