The Association of Residential Letting Agents, said that To Let boards are still a good method of marketing a rental property.
Even though it sometimes feels like we live in a completely digital world a bit of signage strapped to a property is still worth doing, apparently, if only to point potential tenants to jump on their computer or phone to find out a bit more or as a handy way to find the property when coming to view.
With the increasing usage of GPS property finder apps on mobile devices the old fashioned board is no doubt on its way out, but for now its still worth doing, but the future is just around the corner so maybe not for very much longer.

"Many people do use the internet but will then want to have a look at an area, with the board being a 'signpost' to the actual property," Mr Potter of ARLA explained.

Where do we get letting boards from and what's the minimim order quantity?
I only need a few, say 5, boards for now, but hopefully as clients come on board and allow me to let their property for them I'd need more, but certainly not as many as the minimum order quantity I expect will be in place with the suppliers of such boards.

I have bought ready made 'To Let' boards from a company called Elmleaf. They are avaialble in different designs and cost about £40.
