Land registry house price data for April 15

April's data from the Land Registry shows property in England and Wales is up 5.1 per cent over 12 months. The average property value is now £179,817, just short of the November 2007 £181,014.

The month of April saw house prices increase by 0.9 %.

The Land Registry highlighted some regional changes:

  • London still on top, with an annual growth rate of 10.9%.
  • Yorkshire and The Humber was strongest this month, up 2.7% during April.
  • North East 12 monthly prices are down by 0.6 %.
  • Wales fell by 1.1 % during April.
