Landlords feeds desperate tenant

..for a tin of beans.
You read it right, a Sunderland landlord had to feed his tenant after a complication with her benefit payments.

There goes the majority held view that all landlords are heartless money grabbers.

Landlord Charlie Pink had to take food to his tenant Michelle Remmer, as she could not afford to buy her own.

Read the story here in the Sunderland Echo

Maybe he'll put it on her next months rent - £240 and a tin of beans.

I think this is a great story. i have three tenants and am always on hand to assist if need be. I helped a tenant with furniture when she first moved in as she had nothing at all. in return she has kept the flat in immaculate condition and i have no worries about the flat. treat them the way u would like to be treated and it will pay off. respect and kindness cost nothing.

I fear stories like this will start becoming very common as the government squeezes the welfare sector harder and harder....as well as making mistakes. I think her landlord should get a very large gold star for his kindness.
