Frustrated tenant targets agent

A frustrated tenant who targeted his letting agent after he failed to have maintenance issues at his rental property fixed, has been sentenced by magistrates and given a 12 month community order.

The tenant; Mark Coleman having failed to get the letting agent to attend to alleged issues with the boiler, hot water and gas fire; resorted to sending dog muck, dead moths and even a dead bird when threatened with eviction after he withheld the rent.

The court heard that the tenant was at the end of his tether because nothing had been done to fix problems he had with the property since 2005.  Coleman admitted the offences when arrested and pleaded guilty to harassment.
