Landlords should be aware of a new scam email.
The email reports to be from HMRC and invites recipients to use a link to a copy of the HMRC site to retrieve a tax refund.
These emails are 'phishing' for bank details that will be requested as part of the process of supposedly receiving your tax refund.

Are people still taken in by these? Apparently, yes!
The old adage still applies - if it's too good to be true, then it probably isn't.
