RICS points to pre-election pause

Jeremy Leaf spokesman for the RICS was featured this morning on Radio 4's Today program.

Talking on the housing markets prospects; he highlighted the differences in activity in the UK with London and the South East and Scotland which are still showing healthy activity with that of the depressed housing market in the West Midlands, East Anglia and the North.

It seems that the impending general election is also associated with a period of hesitancy amongst certain buyers as they wait to see how a change in government will impact on the housing market.

For cash rich investors - this could be just the time to 'strike' and secure a good deal.
