Are we seeing the start of an over- reaction of negativity towards property?

The UK press are continuing to hype renting as the lifestyle choice after years of feeding off the UK's property market obsession.

A move away from buying will be no bad news for landlords looking at a longer term strategy even though it may subdue capital values for a decade.

As someone who has just relocated I did consider the idea of renting as a way of benefiting from potential property price falls, however I reconsidered and purchased a property.
