Database of Landlords - Gordon loves it!

As suspected the main drive for the Government to create a database ( sorry mandatory licensing scheme) for landlords is not to raise standards in property letting but to provide a clear view up the inside trouser leg of all those individuals letting out property.

Sign the petition against landlord licensing at the Number 10 site.

Read the NLA comments
of the new datatbas .. sorry I mean license scheme.

Gordon will love the data the register will bring for tax collection purposes - it's a shame he wasn't so interested in tracking the expenses claimed by his work colleagues.

But MP's can be trusted and landlords are all rogues, aren't they?

I am not sure how I feel about the scheme, I think it is a little intrusive and has already proven not to work so it would make more sense to revisit the scheme to see if it is viable for the buy to let market.
